Dr. Harrington is a trained and experienced Parenting Consultant and Parenting Time Expeditor. In this role, Dr. Harrington is appointed by the Court to serve in a quasi-judicial capacity, gathering facts and, if need be, making decisions about aspects of the case that are specified by the Court. In this quasi-judicial role, Dr. Harrington combines her skills as a forensic professional, clinical psychologist and family law professional in helping parents reach their own decisions and, if this is not possible, making decisions (rulings) that are child-focused.
As a PC or PTE, matters can be heard and settled rapidly and without the fuss and cost of full litigation. Dr. Harrington can help educate and empower the parents and assist them in developing effective co-parenting skills.
She has been serving in these roles for over ten years. She provides training and consultation to colleagues in these roles and others.
